(Please no computer jargon answers,as i don't understand it - sorry) I'm doing an invoice on my Windows Office Excel, how i populate text from a cell into the same cell on another tab? (It populates numbers, just not text) Thanks in advance.|||Hi. There is a very simple method I use for doing that, and it works on both text and numbers. Example: In cell A15 on your sheet 1 tab you have a name, which you'd like to appear in cell A15 on your sheet 2 tab. 1. Click on your sheet 2 tab 2. Click cell A15 3. Type an = sign in the cell 4. Click on sheet 1 tab 5. Click cell A15 (it is now highlighted) 6. Press Enter Now whatever you do to cell A15 on sheet 1, it will change A15 on sheet 2. You can test it by changing the text of A15 on sheet 1, or making it a number. Whatever you place in A15 on sheet 1 will show up on sheet 2. Now, if you had numerous cells you need to do this with, just copy the A15 cell on sheet 2 and paste it into the other cells you need also on sheet 2. Hope this helped :) P.S. I use Excel 2000 and there is a template for an invoice on it. You can check your version to see if one already exists, if that would help you out. In your Excel, click on File, go to New, mine shows up in the Spreadsheet Solutions tab, Invoice. If you need any other help, please feel free to email me.|||Say the text is in cell A6 on sheet1 and you want it on sheet2, go to cell A6 on sheet 2, type the = sign, click on sheet 1 tab, double click on cell A6 and enter and the external formula showing the contents of sheet 1 is there. If there is more than one cell you want, you can group both worksheets by clicking on the first sheet, holding the shift key down and click on sheet 2. They are now linked. Highlight the data on sheet 1, right button copy, then up to edit, fill across worksheets and all data on sheet1 that you have highlighted also appear on the next worksheet. This is invaluable when setting up multiworksheets so you have common headings and formulae. Don't forget to ungroup the sheets afterwards though by right clicking on one of the sheets and clicking ungroup.
