My FIL just bought a used laptop, and the files he downloaded from the old laptop were saved with MS Office 7, the guy he got the laptop off of told him he needed windows office 7 to open the files, cant he just download the new version of office and open them with that?|||Hi,
Normally Word will open files from previous version without much problem.
The problem occurs when you save a file in office 2010 and try and open it on an older version.
