Try a Dell from dell.com. The good thing about Dells is you can customize them. You can make them cheaper by removing components you don't need, like extra harddrive space, warranty, and so on. Or if that doesn't work for you, I'd try an eMachine. eMachines are really inexpensive and over the years have grown to become reliable and decent computers. You can find each of these for under $500.00 brand new.
