i got a new laptop and it only came with a trial of word, powerpoint ect. and i wanted to know if i needed to buy the disc to intall it? or, when i open it it tells me i need a key, can i just put in the key and if so does any one have a code i can use?|||First, you can use the trial for 25 uses or 60 days without a product key at all. Just click the Continue button on the registration screen. Each time you use it this way, it will give you a remaining usage count, but it doesn't seem to warn you about the 60 day limit approaching.

But the key for usage after that is not free. You have to buy it and, of course, using anybody else's key is therefore illegal.

Hope that helps.|||Sometimes codes will work, but you can call microsoft and purchase a key over the phone with a creditcard. Or run to walmart or target or anywhere that has microsoft office and purchase it there, it will come with the key.|||Rather then reporting this for abuse, I want to advise you of a free solution.

http://www.openoffice.org

Try that out. It's free, and it can handle MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint files.
