What is Microsoft Office Beta about? I thought Windows Office (Word, Excel etc.) was expensive but I just downloaded the latest version from Microsoft for free. Is itcompatiblee with the normal Windows Office? Just that my tutor will be marking my work in Windows normal Office so not sure if to buy the normal version?|||Microsoft Office 2010 Beta is a preview of the upcoming full release of Office 2010, which will be released later this year. Some of the features and functions are still in development, but they should provide you with all the resources you need to accomplish your work. For compatibility with other Office Suites, make sure you save your document as the right file type, so for 2007 (.docx or .doc). To do so go: Save As > and Scroll through the various File Types.
Here's a bit more about Office 2010 Beta just so you can learn more about it. I suggest watching the videos, they're fun and useful: http://bit.ly/9SBWPr
Hope this helps!

MSFT Office Outreach Team|||I works like the beta releases of Windows 7. It is open to the community to report bugs and problems, and also suggestions for new tools to Microsoft.
Microsoft are hoping that with a bigger workforce more problems can be found and fixed, however be warned if you choose to use it in everyday life it is unstable and saves in a new format meaning if you remove the beta it is difficult to get your files saved with Office 14 back to Office 12 format.|||Office Beta is Microsoft's pre-release version of Office 2010. They want people to try it and see if there are any bugs in it that need fixed before the final product is released in October.
The beta version of Office 2010 will expire in October 2010. Users can choose to download the trial or buy the full version of Office 2010 at that time.|||That's not the latest version. That's the second (beta) round of testing for the next version. You're a guinea pig. Microsoft's internal testers have done their best, now Microsoft is throwing the product-to-be out into the open to find bugs formal testing didn't find.
Also, the Beta will expire sometime this Summer or Fall.
Hope that helps.
