Thanks!|||By default I think 15 documents recently opened are shown but you can either limit this or increase it so, if you don't want any to appear, click on Office button down and across to Word Options. Click on the Advanced button then scroll down the right pane to the Display category, quite some way down where you can change the number of documents to display so here you can take it to zero.
