I have a Windows XP from 2003 but I don't have programs from Office, like PowerPoint, Excel, or Word. I have Windows Word Processor and Database, but these programs are not compatible with information i store in Microsoft Office in other computers outside of my own. I was just wondering if there is some kind of separate disc i was supposed to receive or if windows xp's don't come with office...thanks!|||You need to buy Microsoft Office for those programs. For some of them, you can use http://www.openoffice.org/|||you didn't pay for it when you bought the computer|||you can have those programs installed...go to FRY's and ask them for the drive to install the program|||dude my came like that too and no u u wasnt suppose to receive an extra disc. if u want the programs u have to buy them urself. i had to buy the programs and the total for that was $300 but if you have a friend or something that has the discs then you should just borrow them. hey i have them emial me if you would like we can figure out somehting (1209mzt@gmail.com)
hey good luck|||You will find some remarkable compatibility with Open Office. So if you do not want to BUY another copy of Office, try this free one. http://www.openoffice.org

Good luck|||you have to buy windows office...i had the same thing, most of my files were saved in office word, but right click on your file and it will give you options on what program you want to use to open it...if it is just a rich text doc, then use wordpad to open it....i don't think you can open anything you saved in power point or excel, but at least you will be able to use your text docs|||Microsoft Office is sold totally separately from Windows. It's an additional thing you buy and then install.

The stuff you have on there is probably some cheap stuff that came with the computer, and this varies dpeends on who you bought ot from. That isn't part of standard windows either.|||You have to install Microsoft Office any version.
