I have just bought a new laptop and it does not have Microsoft office installed. Is there any way I can copy it from my desk top computer over to the lap top? If so how can I do this? Thanks|||No.

Unfortunately, you would have to have the actual disks to do this.|||you cannot "copy" software from one place to another.
the idea is that you have to *install* it on the computer on which you plan to run it.
copying does not equal installing by any stretch of imagination.

you basically have three alternatives:

- dig through the house and pray you have an installation cd somewhere
- go illegal
- accept a freeware office version (openoffice.org)|||Unless you have the disc, you can't copy the program files onto the new laptop because it was installed specially for the desktop, and even with everything copied over, it will give numerous errors.|||Go to cnet.com and download 'open office' for free. It does word, excel, spread sheets etc|||OxygenOffice Professional,is an enhanced version of OpenOffice.org and a highly rated freeware. The program or even OpenOffice itself make good alternatives to Microsoft Office.Good luck!!http://www.freewarefiles.com/program_8_1鈥?/a>
