Hi
I have added a formula to a spreadsheet but the answer is too exact i need a the numbers to be rounded for example 1.2 instead of 1.26743
Is there a tool that will do this for me on excel 2007 ?
Thansk in advance|||=TRUNC(A1,1) will give you 1.2. It neither rounds up nor down, just removes the unwanted digits. Use ROUNDUP or ROUNDOWN if you want a more informative answer.|||Hi,
Go to Excel 2007
Look on the top of your excell spreadsheet. You will see columns listed as Column A, B, C, etc. Click and highlight the cell column you want to formulate. Make sure it is a letter that you click on: For example column A, If you click on column A..the whole column will be highlighted. Next follow the directions below to formulate the column to round decimals.
Look at your Tool Bar and Click on the "Home" tab
Underneath that you should have tabs Label as follows:
Clipboard / Font / Alignment / Number / Styles / Cells / Editing
Click on the "Number" Tab
You will see a dollar sign "$"
You will see a percentage sign "%"
You will see a comma sign ","
You will see a decimal sign "0.00" it will have arrows pointing left and right. Click on the arrow pointing right to decrease decimals and round numbers to 1.2
