windows office: i have windows xp pro edition and i was installing the latest version of office but it says that i need to update my windows. do i need to update it to vista? or need to update the service pack/?|||Service pack(s)|||You probably need service pack 3 beware of office 2008 whatever as its compatibility with earlier versions of office is debatable and will need other service packs to be useable if you have letters etc from earlier versions of office|||Office 2007 works fine with XP. I would probably say to make sure you have ALL the Microsoft updates installed, which might also include Service pack 3.
