Can any Mac users out there please tell me whether or not Office for Mac comes pre-installed nowadays?
I'm looking to buy a Macbook in a few days.|||It doesn't come preloaded. You'll have to pay about $125 extra for Windows Office Home and Student 2007, which includes Microsoft Word, the Excel spreadsheet program and the PowerPoint presentation program).
Money-saving tip: Both operating systems are cheaper online at stores such as newegg.com and tigerdirect.com.|||No, you have to buy it seperate. At some places they will install it for you if you buy a computer from there.|||No still have to buy it.|||You may get a demo version with the new mac... don't use it.
http://neoOffice.com has a free and compatible office suite.
If you don't like it for some reason, you can always fork over the cash to buy a copy or use the demo for a few weeks.
