windows office: hi, i just bought a laptop in may, and i havent used word (2007) yet. so i just noticed it now. but it says that my trial has ended. isnt windows built into your computer. if not how can i fix this because i cant us word and i need it for business.|||Don't use it install open office instead, it's free, open source with no trial period. Does everything that office will do.|||If it claims the trial has ended, either you need to buy and install a copy of Office 2007 or you need to look for something different. If you can't afford to buy office, the best place to download a free program that can do the same things is http://www.openoffice.org. That should handle most of your business Office needs.|||This is a common misunderstanding as both products are created by Microsoft. Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista or Windows 7 etc) is the Operating System and comes with the computer. Microsoft Office is the package that has things like Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc this doesn't come with computers as standard and you would need to purchase it. You often get trials which sounds like what you have been using. You can buy direct from Microsoft but is probably cheaper to go to a local retailer. Good Luck!|||Mic office word 2007 is built in. Its not actually to do with windows technically or your system wouldnt work. Its just expired software. the solution?
