I mean, you can't get arrested or fined for buying a used CD which is also copyrighted.|||As long as you have purchased the software (be it used or new) and it is not installed on any other computer, you are the licensed owner.|||Thank you!

|||Not necessarily - it depends on the exact license and which country you are in.|||I hope you haven't bought it yet.

If the CD has been used, you will probably not be able to install it. If, somehow, you do get it installed, you will not be able to get updates. I understand that Win2000 had a bunch of bugs when it first came out. You don't want that. Go for WinXP if you can afford it. Be sure it is legitimate and that you get the CD and product key.

$99 new, as of 1/27/07 midnight.

Watch your Sunday paper for Office Max, Office Depot, Best Buy. They have specials every week.|||technically yes but office 2000 isnt supported by windows anymore so they dont care what you do to it now.|||You'd have to study the entire agreement to get all the details about transferring the license, but I'm sure part of it will say that the software can only be installed on one PC at any time. So if someone else has it installed somewhere else and is still using the same product key you cannot be legally licensed. Sorry.
