I mean the various updates for windows, office etc with SP1. Should i delete them? the updates are eating the hard drive.|||Don't uninstall the updates that were provided by Vista SP1.
According to this page ( http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows鈥?/a> ), both Service Packs need to be installed -- and you need to install SP1 before you install SP2. (Of course, if your installation has SP1 already, then you don't need to reinstall it.)|||No those stay.|||Office Updates and Windows Updates are separate...they are not the same thing.|||Well, yeah... I think you should do. It depends on what the updates covers.|||I don't think there is a way to delete them. Your not supposed to anyway. If you hard drive is getting full use a disk cleanup utility.
Search Google for ccleaner.|||Don't delete them because, for one, you won't save that much space. And, if the fixes were in SP2 then the files that you downloaded with the other updates were replaced by the SP2 ones - not taking up additional space.
