I have never owned a Windows 7 Office but if I was to buy the 2010 version. Will it be updated so like when the new Windows office comes out will it update free or do I have to buy the newer version?|||Windows does not offer free upgrades. For awhile, Dell and other companies were offering free upgrades from Vista to Windows 7, but that was very short lived.
So, most likely, no. You'll need to spend another good chunk of money when the newest office comes out, Office 2012.
If you buy Office 2010 now, it should last you a good 5 years. I am personally still using Office 2003 without any problems (that was 8 years ago). I would buy office 2010 now (or wait a year for 2012), and not upgrade until Office 2016 or so (they seem to release one every 2 years).
No, you cannot install it on 2 computers. Businesses buy what is called Volume Licensing. Then they can install the disc on more than one computer. But you have to have a lot of computers to make that worth the money.
