im not good in computer at all.
what should i do??
what do i need to buy??
i dont need the professional things,
all i need is the basic,
please help me.|||Either pay for the home version of Office, or download and try OpenOffice for free. It's the free version of the office suite put out by Sun Microsystems. It will open your old M.S. office files.
Edit: If all you need are the basics, then you do NOT need Microsoft Office. OpenOffice is a free download, why don't you give it a shot? Otherwise you'll probably have to pay for a new copy of M.S. Office.|||You'd have to buy it from any local computer store.|||Not to worry: I had approximately the same problem.
Simply download and install OpenOffice, which is free, which allows you to open and edit MS Office files, and which allows you to save files in either MS Office formats or in the MUCH MORE EFFICIENT OpenOffice formats.
The download is available from http://download.openoffice.org/
Version 2.3.0 is the current, stable release. Just click anywhere in the green rectangular area beneath the words "Download Central" very near the top of the page.
OpenOffice is generally easier to use and more feature-rich than the Microsoft product it replaces; however, there are a few things that MS Excel can do that OpenOffice Calc doesn't -- and vice-versa.
Personally, the limitations of Calc are minor inconveniences requiring an occasional extra few keystrokes, but Calc has allowed me to do things that are simply impossible to accomplish using Excel.
